WORKING@HOME Good graphic designs for sale By CHERYL CURRID
GRAPHICALLY challenged? Don't feel alone. Few of us have the knack or eye of a graphics designer. But that doesn't mean our work, especially presentations, has to be limited to lowly and boring designs.
There's a way to cheat. You let the designer do the graphics and you do the content. Sound expensive? It's not.
You can purchase easily affordable designs on the Web, and download the new templates directly on the computer.
I just tried a set called PowerFinish that took one ugly text presentation and turned it into a masterpiece.
Each template includes a Title Master and a Slide Master ready for use. To use one, you need only to choose Apply Design Template from the Format menu in Microsoft PowerPoint, and the new design is ready for you to
add your message.
In addition to offering excellent general purpose presentations, the design wizards at PowerFinish offer styles that range from corporate to futuristic, e.g., the Global collection is ideal for an international or
high-tech message.
PowerFinish also offers a selection of backgrounds. With three volumes containing 1,000 individual backgrounds, no doubt you'll find a way to reinforce your messages. You can choose from colors that range from rich
jewel tones to conservative corporate palettes. You think of the concept, they've got the art. You'll find more information and purchasing instructions at www.powerfinish.com.
