One of the most important decisions affecting the legibility of your presentation is font selection.
For example, our templates are pre-set to use Arial for a number of good reasons:
it is a sans-serif font, so it’s automatically easier to read
virtually every computer has Arial pre-installed
It offers options in the family including bold, italic, narrow, black
If you want to use other fonts, an easy way to see what is available on your computer (in Windows) is to open My Computer and open
Window/Fonts on your boot drive. You will see small icons which, when double clicked will display the font in various sizes. (see below)
If you opt for an unusual font and plan to present using another computer, make certain that you pack the font with your presentation.
Your chosen font may not be available on the other machine.
